I recently finished this commission. The client bought a total of five paintings! This is the third coconut and lime painting I've done...It's wonderful when I'm painting and I feel like things are going smoothly. I had a lot of fun painting this coconut. It's the first time I cracked one open on my own. I bought two...the first one was rotten, but this half had a lot of neat looking ridges.
Just finished another still life study...I liked the shape of the coconut..thought it would be fun to paint...and who doesn't like pineapples and coconuts (makes me think of pina coladas)...second pineapple slice I've painted and a bit of a struggle, but I think the whole thing came together once I put in the background.

Coconut and Lime I
7"x9"
Acrylic on panel
This is the first time I've worked on a coconut and lime...I like the tropical summery feel of the painting...
