I love painting mushrooms and haven't done it in awhile..I thought the three of these looked really cute together. You have to paint mushrooms fast because they rot so quickly..thought they would be perfect for a study.

I've decided to do a bunch of two hour studies (while I'm working on a larger piece) to practice my technique and speed me up as a painter. I've decided to have fun with these and time myself. I walked into a small Indian grocery store recently and found several fun things to paint! Some of the Dosakai were more orange in color and had spots, but I liked the way this yellow one looked with the green peppers. Below, I've posted a process shot.
