Red Apple and Grapes

Red Apple and Grapes
6"x6"
Acrylic on panel

I wanted to try painting an apple I have never painted before. It was tricky making it look round with the large yellow spot on the front, but I'm happy with the way it turned out. All of the bloom on the grapes and the curly stems were fun to paint!

It's apple season...Even though you can get apples all year round, I still think of fall as apple season...had a lot of fun painting the bloom on the grapes!

Red and Gold

Red and Gold
6"x6"
Acrylic on panel

Just sold this painting...One of my favorites...I saw this apple and thought it would look beautiful with a gold background...I enjoyed laying in a pattern over the gold...similar to the one I used in "Two Apples".

I found this cute little apple at the grocery store...Had to buy it to paint! Thought it would look nice with red grapes...had fun playing with the shadows and reflective light.
