Just sold this painting...One of my favorites...I saw this apple and thought it would look beautiful with a gold background...I enjoyed laying in a pattern over the gold...similar to the one I used in "Two Apples".

Just finished this painting of two persimmons...I think they pulled off the leaves, which accounts for the black markings...did a quick study of persimmons a few months ago, which inspired me to make this piece....I like the purplish background against the orange...

After I finished my quick study, I decided to use the same apple with these beautiful orange cherries I found at the grocery store! First time I've ever seen anything other than red cherries...I like how some of the stems are attached at the top...
